Privacy Policy

Currency Glass is designed to work without accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking. The developer does not collect personal data through the app.

Network requests

To display exchange rates, the widget sends the selected base currency, quote currency, and requested date range to the public Frankfurter API at frankfurter.dev. These values describe the rate request and do not identify you. The service necessarily receives ordinary network information, such as an IP address, while fulfilling a request. Frankfurter is an independent service and its handling of network data is governed by its own policies.

Data stored on your Mac

Currency Glass stores widget preferences and up to six years of fetched rate history locally in its macOS sandbox. That local cache is used for chart history and offline fallback. It is not uploaded by Currency Glass.

Data collection and tracking

Currency Glass contains no analytics SDK, advertising SDK, account system, cross-app tracking, or developer-operated backend. The developer does not sell or share user data. The app’s App Store privacy disclosure is “Data Not Collected.”

Retention and deletion

Cached rates older than six years are discarded automatically. To remove local data, remove the widget and delete Currency Glass. macOS may retain its sandbox container until the operating system removes it; it can also be deleted manually from your user Library containers.

Children

Currency Glass does not knowingly collect information from children or anyone else.

Changes and contact

If the app’s data practices change, this page and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the change ships. For privacy questions, use the project issue tracker.
